Privacy Policy
Santa's North Pole Stories is an app for parents. Parents create the account, provide all information, and control everything the App does. We never collect information directly from children.
The short version
- We collect only what the App's features need: your account details and the child-profile details you choose to provide (name, age, a photo, an optional voice snippet of how their name is pronounced).
- Photos and voice snippets exist to power one feature each, and are handled minimally: the original photo is deleted as soon as you approve the storybook character made from it, and voice snippets are never stored โ they're processed in memory and discarded.
- We show no ads, use no third-party analytics, and never sell or share personal information for marketing.
- You can delete a child profile or your whole account at any time, in the App โ deletion removes the underlying data, not just the listing.
Information you give us
Your parent account. Email address, your name, and a password โ or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and email address those services share with us. We never see your Google or Apple password.
Child profiles. To personalize stories you may provide a child's first name, age, whether they're a boy or girl (so stories use the right words like "he" or "she"), things they like, and an optional "sounds like" spelling of their name so Santa pronounces it correctly.
A photo (optional). If you want your child to appear in stories, you provide one photo. We use it once, to generate an illustrated storybook character. You review and approve that character; the original photo is permanently deleted at the moment you approve it. If you abandon the process, the photo is automatically deleted within 90 days. The illustrated character is kept while the child profile exists.
A voice snippet (optional). To help with tricky name pronunciations you can record a short clip saying the name. The clip is analyzed to suggest a phonetic spelling and is discarded immediately โ it is never saved on our servers. Only the text spelling you approve (e.g. "shiv-AWN") is kept.
Home town (optional). For the Santa Tracker you may enter a town so Santa "visits" your area. If you use the "find my location" shortcut, your device's location is used on your phone to suggest the nearest town; coordinates are not sent to our servers โ only the town name you confirm.
Purchases. Subscriptions and story purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive your card details; we receive a record that your account is entitled to what you bought.
Information collected automatically
- Device push token โ only if you allow notifications (e.g. Santa Tracker alerts, advent reminders). Deleted when you sign out or disable them.
- Standard technical logs (IP address, request timing) kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
That's it. No advertising identifiers, no behavioral analytics, no tracking across other apps or websites.
How AI is used (and what sees your data)
Story art and narration are generated with AI, always initiated by you:
- Character illustration & story scenes โ your child's photo (once, for character creation) and the illustrated character (for story scenes) are processed by our image-generation provider (Replicate, running the ByteDance Seedream model).
- Quality checks โ generated illustrations (never the original photo) are automatically reviewed by Anthropic's Claude models to make sure the right character appears in each scene.
- Name pronunciation โ the voice snippet is analyzed by Google's Gemini model to suggest a phonetic spelling, then discarded.
- Narration โ the child's first name (as text) is sent to ElevenLabs to synthesize Santa's voice.
These providers act as our processors: they may not use your data for their own purposes.

Children's privacy
The App is designed for parents; accounts may only be created by adults. All information about a child comes from the parent, is used only to deliver the features the parent asked for, and is never used for advertising or profiling. Children cannot make their information public through the App. If we learn we hold a child's information without a parent having provided it, we will delete it. Parents can review what's stored (it's all visible in the child's profile) and delete it at any time.
Storage, retention & deletion
Data is stored with AWS in the United States (Ohio region), encrypted in transit. On your device, sign-in credentials are kept in the phone's secure keystore.
- Original child photos: deleted on character approval, or automatically within 90 days.
- Voice snippets: never stored.
- Child profile (name, character art, stories starring them): kept until you delete the child profile or your account.
- Account deletion (Profile โ Delete account, or the web deletion page): removes your account, all child profiles, photos, characters, personalized stories, and push tokens. Purchase records required for tax / fraud obligations are retained in anonymized form only.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar laws) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Everything we hold is visible and editable in the App; for anything else, contact us at support@beelinemicrosystems.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for material changes affecting children's data, notify you in the App before they apply.
